R.I.P Michael Clarke Duncan

Sadly the movie industry lost a gem - Michael Clarke Duncan. We didn't see him in a lot of lead roles but he made a mark in whatever movie he was featured in. Duncan suffered from a heart attack in July 2012 and although it isn't clear if he died due to another heart attack or illness, we will surely miss him. The "big tough soft guy" is what I call him. His ability to be this tough guy one minute and then transform into a softie is very rare for a guy of his stature and physique. Throughout his career, Duncan has been featured in a lot of movies and has also voiced in animated movies such as Kung Fu Panda and Brother Bear. His most notable role was in The Green Mile where he played John Coffey. He was highly praised for his role and was nominated for an Academy award and a Golden Globe. Duncan has been featured in other movies such as Armageddon, The Whole Nine Yards, The Scorpion King, Sin City and Daredevil. We will miss you big guy!

Michael Clarke Duncan (far right) as one of the astronauts sent to space to destroy the comet in the movie Armageddon.

Here he is again in the movie Daredevil in a face off with Ben Affleck.

We can all remember him feuding and fighting side by side with The Rock in The Scorpion King

Who can forget this tear-jerking execution scene in The Green Mile?
