The Trailer Zone: Bad Grandpa, American Hustle, Her

First there was Bad Santa, then there was Bad Teacher. Now the Jackass crew presents us with Bad Grandpa, starring Johnny Knoxville and Jackson Nicoll. The movie is directed by Jeff Tremaine and is slated for an October 25, 2013 release.

The Trailer Zone: Twelve Years A Slave, Oldboy, Saving Mr. Banks

From the director that brought us Shame (2011) and Hunger (2008), Twelve Years a Slave brings us the story of Solomon Northup and features a star studded cast led by Chiwetel Ejiofor. The trailer looks very promising and director Steve McQueen III has yet to disappoint me. The film is scheduled for an October 18, 2013 limited release.

The Trailer Zone: The Hobbit The Desolation of Smaug

The first trailer for the second film of The Hobbit trilogy is finally here and it looks pretty enticing and more action-packed. We see Orlando Bloom reprise his role as the elf Legolas and we will meet a few new characters as well. The movie is set to be released on December 13, 2013.

Trailer Zone: Insidious Chapter 2, Getaway, Paranoia

I liked Insidious so I will be looking forward to this upcoming sequel. Director James Wan is back at it again and much of the cast from the previous film reprise their roles. The film is slated for a September 13, 2013 release.

The Trailer Zone: R.I.P.D (2013)

This movie looks interesting and ridiculous at the same time. I guess because it features a twist on the buddy cop genre, although its concept does seem familiar with the Men in Black franchise. The movie stars Ryan Reynolds and Jeff Bridges. It is directed by Robert Schwentke and is slated to be released on July 19, 2013. 

The Trailer Zone: Carrie (2013)

The Dredd remake was pretty good and so was the Evil Dead remake. Let's see what Carrie brings to the table. I'm not all that impressed with the trailer but hopefully it's not as bad as it looks. The remake stars Chloe Moretz and Julianne Moore and is scheduled for an October 18, 2013 release.

The Trailer Zone: World War Z (2013)

This second trailer is even more riveting than the first. Zombies on a plane? Hell yeah! Check out the new trailer for the upcoming film War World Z starring Brad Pitt and Mireille Enos. The film is slated for a June 21, 2013 release and is directed by Marc Forster.

The Trailer Zone: The Hangover Part III (2013)

Is it me or does this sequel trailer look ridiculously corny and lame? Anyways, I hope this followup and conclusion of the trilogy will be much better than disappointing The Hangover Part II. The wolf pack is back and this film is slated to be released on May 24, 2013. Check out the trailer below.

The Trailer Zone: Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs 2

The long awaited trailer for the sequel to the delicious and amusing 'Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs' is finally here. Originally titled 'Cloudy 2: Revenge of The Leftovers', I guess the production team decided to stick with the much simplier name. The voicing cast is back and the movie is slated to be released on September 27, 2013.  I hope this follow-up is just as yummy as the first film. Check out the first trailer below. 

The Trailer Zone: The Frankenstein Theory (2013)

As you all know the horror genre has pretty much been on the decline so I dont get too excited for horror films anymore. Here's the trailer for this new upcoming found footage horror flick - The Frankenstein Theory. The movie looks like a mesh up of both The Blair Witch Project and Trollhunter but I'm sure horror fans will be pleased and look forward to watching. The movie is directed by Andrew Weiner and is scheduled for a March 1, 2013 limited release.

Super Bowl Feature - Fast 6 (2013)

I thoroughly enjoyed 'Fast 5' and I thought it saved the franchise. After seeing this Super Bowl feature for its upcoming sequel 'Fast and Furious 6' or as it is well known as 'Fast 6' - I became pumped and excited. The cast is back and I hope they continue on the same high as its predecessor with entertaining action sequences and speedy car chase scenes. Anyways, here is the Super Bowl special for the upcoming movie Fast 6, slated to be released on May 24, 2013.

The Trailer Zone: Olympus Has Fallen (2013)

Thanks to my  twitter compatriot @Dre5IVE, this movie trailer has been brought to my attention and has sparked my interest. Afterall it does feature a star studded cast - Gerard Butler (despite a dwindling career), Aaron Eckhart, Morgan Freeman, Angela Bassett, Melissa Leo and Rick Yune. The movie is directed by Antoine Fuqua and is set to be released on March 22, 2013.

The seniors are back! Here is the trailer for the much anticipated sequel to Red -- Red 2. Starring Bruce Willis, John Malkovich, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Helen Mirren. The movie is set to be released on August 2, 2013.

I'm a huge Danny Boyle fan. I love his artistic works so any movie of his is an automatic must-see for me. His new film is called Trance, which is scheduled for release on March 27, 2013. The cast includes Xmen: First Class actor James McAvoy and Rosario Dawson. Check out the new trailer below:

The Trailer Zone: A Good Day To Die Hard, The Evil Dead

Bruce Willis returns as the beloved John McCLane in the fifth installment of the Die Hard series: A Good Day To Die Hard, scheduled to be released on Valentines Day 2013. Max Payne director John Moore takes the director's seat and the movie cast features Jai Courtney, Cole Hauser and Mary Elizabeth Winstead. It should be a fun addition to the franchise. 

Upcoming Movies: 2013 Sci-Fi Galore

Quite a few Science Fiction films are slated to be released in 2013 and the trailers, as expected, are breathtaking and have audiences anticipating their release. Some of these movies are sequels and are expected to dominate the box office. We can expect copious amounts of CGI, entertainment and possibly bad acting and writing.

Must See Films for 2012

2012 promises to be a fine year in film. Most of the movies I've seen thus far have been disappointing but there's still 7-8months left so lets keep our fingers crossed for some good upcoming flicks. Gonna share with yall some of my must see films for the rest of the year....Enjoy :)
