Director Olivier Dahan brings to the big screen the biopic of one of France's most iconic and international singer - Edith Piaf. She is portrayed by French actress Marion Cotillard who not only gave us a fabulous look into the singer's life but totally embodied her.
Cotillard transformed into Edith Piaf and at one point I was like wow, where is Marion? I only see Edith. She looked like her, talked like her and even walked like her. The performance was so good that after the movie, I had to go listen to Piaf music. The singing bits were also performed so convincingly well by Cotillard. Marion definitely made this movie and earned an Oscar award for Best Actress for her lovely performance. An Oscar well deserved.
