Quite a few Science Fiction films are slated to be released in 2013 and the trailers, as expected, are breathtaking and have audiences anticipating their release. Some of these movies are sequels and are expected to dominate the box office. We can expect copious amounts of CGI, entertainment and possibly bad acting and writing.
These upcoming flicks include Guillermo Del Toro's Pacific Rim and the much anticipated Superman reboot Man Of Steel. Based on Max Brook's novel about a zombie apocalypse, Brad Pitt stars in World War Z. Father and son (Will and Jaden Smith) team up with director M.Night Shyamalan in this post apocalyptic Earth flick, After Earth. Tom Cruise stars in this sci-fi thriller, Oblivion. After an impressive District 9, Neill Blomkamp takes the director seat again and teams up with Matt Damon in his upcoming movie, Elysium. Sequel to the fun and flashy G.I. Joe: Rise Of The Cobra, the Joes are back at it again in G.I. Joe: Retaliation. Tony Starks and company are back in Iron Man 3, the third installment of the Iron Man series. Sequel to Chronicles of Riddick, Vin Diesel is back again as he fights for survival against alien predators in Riddick.
And last but not least, after an impressive reboot to a popular series, Director JJ. Abrams brings us Star Trek Into Darkness.
