"There's not a day goes by that I don't feel regret..."
The Shawshank Redemption is a movie well received by audience and critics alike. Here we witness one of Morgan Freeman's best roles in a film. He starred alongside Tim Robbins and we watch a great friendship develop and blossom. The movie was solid throughout but there is this one scene that surprised me. Throughout the movie we see Ellis Boyd "Red" Redding (Morgan Freeman) get interviewed for possible parole and rejected every time. But in this last parole interview scene, even after serving 40 years in prison, Red's stern yet emotional words was totally unexpected to me. The Parole interviewers looked stunned themselves.
Below is one of my favorite scenes from the movie.
